The best Carnival options for UK travellers
Carnival does not maintain a regular UK-based fleet. Carnival Miracle and Carnival Sunshine have confirmed Europe programmes in 2027, including Dover departures. Those sailings remove the transatlantic flight problem and may be the best opportunity for a British passenger to try Carnival without building a US land trip.
Outside those seasons, Miami is usually the simplest gateway. Port Canaveral requires an Orlando transfer, Galveston requires Houston-area planning and West Coast ships involve a much longer flight. The best ship on paper can be the wrong holiday once travel is included.
Future ships
Carnival Festivale arrives in 2027 as the fourth Excel ship, replacing BOLT with a much larger family waterpark. Carnival Tropicale follows in 2028 from Galveston. Carnival Destiny is due in 2029 as the first Ace Class ship. Keep these separate from the 29-ship fleet already sailing.
