Azamara Onward is the slightly different sister. It carries 684 guests at double occupancy rather than 702, has 342 staterooms rather than 352 and already includes Atlas Bar. Those differences are modest on paper, but they give Onward a little more suite emphasis and make it the easiest current ship to identify within an otherwise highly uniform four-ship fleet.
It is also next in line for Azamara Forward after Quest, with fleetwide enhancements scheduled for 2027. For a booking made now, that means the sailing date matters. A 2026 voyage is the current 2024-refreshed Onward; later 2027 sailings move into the next generation of Azamara interiors and dining concepts.
Azamara Onward is the best starting point for travellers who like Azamara but want the fleet member with a little more suite emphasis and Atlas Bar already onboard. Its smaller 684-guest double-occupancy figure is welcome, although the difference is subtle. The bigger question is whether to sail before or after its planned 2027 Forward enhancements.
