MSC UK fares include more than some passengers expect and less than an all-inclusive label suggests. The cabin, designated dining, entertainment, family clubs and hotel service charge are included. Most bar drinks, Wi-Fi, speciality restaurants, spa and paid attractions are not.

The exact value depends on whether the passenger buys Bella, Fantastica, Aurea or Yacht Club and whether a promotion adds drinks or other benefits.

Included in a standard UK fare

• Cabin accommodation and housekeeping.
• Meals in designated main dining rooms, buffet and listed casual venues.
• Water, ordinary tea and coffee at the buffet, plus breakfast fruit juice.
• Theatre shows, live music, parties and standard entertainment.
• Pools, fitness-centre access and many activities.
• Kids clubs and included family programming.
• Hotel service charges or gratuities in fares sold through the UK website.

• Alcohol and most bar beverages without a package.
• Drinks in main restaurants beyond stated included options.

• Excursions, transfers, photographs, shopping and casino play.
• Room-service food or delivery where the experience terms require payment.

Bella, Fantastica and Aurea change the package

The current experience table should be read at booking. Fantastica can add choice and room-service benefits. Aurea can add flexible dining and wellbeing privileges.

Benefits have changed over time, so an old comparison table is unreliable. Save the booking confirmation and check every promised inclusion.

Drinks packages

Easy, Premium Extra, Alcohol-Free and Minors packages cover different menus. All eligible cabin occupants normally need a corresponding package.

A daily limit of 15 alcoholic drinks applies, including Yacht Club. Premium brands and drinks above the package ceiling remain chargeable.

Buffet water, tea and coffee reduce the need for a package. Main-dining and bar drinks still need payment without one.

The correct test is the full cabin package cost divided by realistic daily use, not the price of one cocktail.

Yacht Club inclusions

Yacht Club includes Premium Extra drinks across the ship, private restaurant, lounge, pool deck, butler, concierge and priority services.

It does not make every speciality restaurant, excursion or spa treatment free. Current Wi-Fi and thermal benefits should be checked for the exact ship and fare.

Wi-Fi and MSC for Me

General internet normally costs extra. Packages vary by number of devices and browsing or streaming capability.

MSC for Me shipboard schedules, maps and chat can work through the onboard network without buying full internet, depending on ship compatibility.

A family should calculate devices rather than passengers. A single plan may not cover every simultaneous user.

How to compare a fare

Start with the same cabin type and cancellation conditions. Add drinks only when realistic use justifies them.

Then add speciality dining, Wi-Fi, Fun Pass, spa, flights, hotel, transfers and excursions. UK service charges are already included and should not be added again.

CruisePing would compare the basic fare plus selective spending against a promotional package. Neither route wins automatically.

MSC provides a viable included holiday without paid restaurants or drinks packages, particularly for passengers happy with buffet beverages and main dining.

The line becomes expensive when every optional layer is added. The best value comes from choosing one or two priorities rather than trying to make the ship fully inclusive.
